If I can't get a decent grip on it this semester, assuming I remain long enough, there's plenty of time to aim for a career that is neither wholesale slaughter or math.

I might be splitting hairs on the difference between learning and practicing, but I find it helps to be precise. Particularly with formulas, you can't afford to forget to carry over anything.
